About Dr Susan Strauss
Dr. Susan Strauss is a nationally recognized expert, author and international speaker on discrimination, harassment and bullying in the workplace and education. She works with private and public sector organizations to provide professional services for business, legal, healthcare, education and government settings. Susan investigates workplace and school complaints of bullying, discrimination and harassment. She is also an expert witness for harassment, discrimination, and bullying lawsuits in the workplace and schools, and conducts training on those topics in workplaces and schools. Susan has been selected to speak on sexual harassment at international conferences in Botswana, Thailand, Egypt, Israel and the United States.
Susan also has extensive experience in management and organization development. She provides training on a variety of management and organizational issues, coaches managers and employees, assesses the workplace climate and provides a variety of interventions to enhance productivity and employee engagement.

Strauss Consulting provides customized consulting and training services on discrimination, harassment, bullying, communication and respect in the workplace and schools. In addition, management development and organization development services are offered to employers including training, coaching, assessments, team-building, and group facilitation. Susan’s goal is to help organizations create and sustain a productive, engaged, healthy, respectful, and discriminatory-free environment for its employees or students.
Strauss Consulting was established in 1987 when Susan conducted a study on sexual harassment in the schools, and developed sexual harassment curriculum geared for middle and high school students. In response to elementary teacher requests to the Minnesota Department of Education, she partnered with the Department and other colleagues to create an elementary sexual harassment curriculum. The Minnesota Department of Education published the middle and high school curriculum and the elementary curriculum for use by schools nationally. Susan began consulting with schools by assisting them with their sexual harassment prevention and intervention strategies, and training administrators, faculty, staff and school boards about the misconduct. In 1992 Strauss published the first book on sexual harassment in middle and high school entitled Sexual Harassment and Teens: A Program for Positive Change. Her most recent book, published in 2012 is entitled Sexual Harassment and Bullying: A Guide for Keeping Kids Safe and Holding Schools Accountable.
Strauss Consulting has continued to evolve since its inception by consulting with a variety of national and international organizations including medical centers and clinics, corporations, small businesses, nonprofits, and law firms.
